The end is otherwise identical in the case where Blue wins. The winner will have their stats improved and access to all magic abilities, and if Blue loses to Rouge, Rouge will be your main character.

You actually do not have to win this match. Near the end of Blue’s Route, he will meet his twin brother Rouge in a one-on-one duel. The blues route can technically end in two different ways, although they are largely the same Towards the end of the story, the Blues’ magic stats will be doubled for reasons of history, and this mechanic can be repeated in several new games + to make him one of the most devastating characters in the game (see note below). To make things easier, Blue is the only character that has the Region Map tool that allows you to quickly travel to places you’ve been to before (even if it takes a moment to learn to read it). These two mission lines are linked to the Blues main arc, but any other character can also complete them as side objectives.

Route overview: Blue is a great beginner figure that allows players to be adjusted for how to complete some of the most important side quotas in the game. Making this loophole will raise a higher affiliation with Asellus’s Human Ending.

Using Mystic abilities has its consequences, as Asellus has three different endings, each based on her style of play: a human ending that is earned by ignoring the use of her mysterious abilities, a Half-Mystic ending that is using a mix of both, and a full Mystic ending. The good thing about her is that she can use Mystic abilities that can absorb enemies and use their unique skills. This can easily get players stuck if they came in unprepared. What makes the Asellus scenario more difficult than the other routes is that the story is later developed by semi-random boss meetings, sometimes in places where you least expect it. This should let you carry her for a good portion from the beginning of the game. To make things easier, you can buy a very powerful sword at the beginning of the game at the expense of Asellus’ Life Points. It’s also a bit unclear what you need to do to develop her story going forward, and requires talking to certain NPCs almost like an old school adventure game.

Asellus starts the game relatively weak and threw in the middle of the blink to start his scenario.

Route overview: The Asellus route is not exactly the most beginner-friendly in the SaGa Frontier.
